the 7th book, “Junie B Jones Loves Handsome Warren”, Junie told her first time being in love. This little kindergarten girl had a crush on the new student at school. You may not believe it, Superkids, Warren -the new boy’s name- was the cutest boy Junie had even seen. She and two of her classmates, Lucille and Grace, were in the race to get his attention. Everyone wanted to be Warren’ s girlfriend.
Unfortunately for Junie, the handsome Warren seemed to fall for the pretty Lucille. Well, no surprise there since Lucille came from a rich family, always appeared stylish in fancy expensive clothes. Warren didn’t have any intention to have a sloppy girlfriend like Junie. Warren took saw her like a nutball because she laugh so loud that she rolled on the floor without apparent reason.
Far on the opposite side from the girls in her class, Junie was never a clam and gentle girl. She was bold, persistent but kind and fun to be with. Realizing that she didn’t pose a chance, Junie would go far to show Warren that she wasn’t like what he thought of her. So, what did Julie do to change Warren’s mind? Anything!
She gave up her sugar cereal breakfast to her dog and rather had fiber cereal for days to look slimmer. In the bus on their way to school, the noisy Junie suddenly transformed into a clam and gentle girl. She even wore royal princess gown, just to show that she could act like any normal girls. The moral of the story revealed when Junie’s mom commented on her drastic changes. “You don’t have to change yourself to make people like you.”
