“Please let go of me! I’m the fish king of this lake. My people need me,” said the Fish King that get caught by La Upe’s  fishing rod. The king moves its fins agitatedly. Just like most fishes, it can’t survive on the ground long. La Upe is confused. Failing to have fish home, will reward him some beating from his step mother. On the other side, La Upe feels sorry to the Fish King. He can’t bring himself to take the fish home for his step mom to cook,” the piece of story of La Upe and Fish King, the folklore from South Sulawesi.
