It’s not a secret anymore. If we are better than 99.99% of the Earth population with ball, we can get a much more comfortable life. Be it with soccer, tennis, basket ball or golf, doesn’t really matter. Forbes recently released the updated list of 100 athletes with the biggest pocket of 2014, Superkids. Sometimes, particularly in tennis and golf, what they earn from endorsement is way above their pay grade itself.

 

Tiger Woods (38) – Total Earings USD 78,1 million

With the title of The World Best Golfer of All Time and The Number 1 Golfer in the World, Tiger Woods places the richest athlete in history. He triumphs in many championships, where the award money reaching USD 15 million. After a car accident during the weekend Thanksgiving, followed by his divorce with Elin Nordegren, Woods is now sets his eyes back on the field. Again he sits on top of World Golf Rankings. Out of his total wealth of USD 78,1 million, USD 65 million comes from endorsement alone.

 

Roger Federer (33) – Total Earings USD 71,5 million

With salary of USD 6.5 million and endorsement of USD 65 million, it must be excited to be a Roger Federer. This Switzerland tennis player has the most impressive portfolio endorsement in professional sport. 10 of his sponsors pay Roger over USD 40 million per year, including the multi-year contracts he signs up with  Wilson, Nike, Credit Suisse, dan Rolex. For his achievement on the field Federer scores single victory in Grand Slam.

 

Kobe Bryant (36) – Total Earings USD 61,9 million

Kobe Bryant is the highest paid player in NBA in three consecutive years. He is paid almost USD 28 million or USD 7 million above other players. Kobe sits on number four of the highest NBA scorer in history, more than the legendary Wilt Chamberlain. His endorsement includes Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz, Lenovo, Panini, and of course Nike.

 

LeBron James (30) – Total Earings USD 59,8 million

LeBron’s success in 2012 surely gives a big push on his money making pace in 2013. James wins his first NBA title, the third MVP league and his second Olympic medal. His fourth MVP award that comes after 2013-13 season takes him to the executive class of NBA Hall of Famers award. LeBron is the kind of endorsement in NBA with annual salary of USD 42 million.

 

Drew Brees (35) – Total Earings USD 51 million

Just 1.5 years ago Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints have reached an agreement on a five-year, $100 million contract. The deal includes a bonus of USD 37 million. This sweet agreement is no doubt a reward for his Super Bowl title and six Pro Bowl selections. He is among the best portfolio endorsement owner in NFL, with big clients contract such as Nike, Procter & Gamble, Verizon, Pepsi, and Wrangler.

 

Aaron Rodgers (31) – Total Earnings USD 49 million

Aaron Rodgers updated contract with Green Bay Packers makes him the NFL highest income player for the past several seasons. In 2013, Packers and Rodgers agreed on five more years worth USD 110 million with bonus USD 35 million. He also gains bonus of USD 62.5 million from his premium contract USD 110 million for three years.

 

Phil Mickelson (44) – Total Earnings USD 48,7 million

Phil Mickelson is now a member of World Golf Hall of Fame, a place of someone who wins 41 PGA, USD 70 million reward money for the entire career and four major trophies. Phil also has USD 44 million from endorsements with Rolex, Callaway, KPMG, Exxon, and Barclay’s.

 

David Beckham (39) – Total Earnings USD 47,2 million

This iconic star soccer player has USD 4 million from endorsement and sponsorship Adidas, H&M, Samsung, and Breitling. Cristiano Ronaldo (29) – Total Earnings USD 44 million

Cristiano Ronaldo is awarded World Player of the Year from FIFA in 2013, after being in the second position the previous year next to Lionel Messi. He scores 60 goals in 55 games. This Portuguese soccer player earns USD 23 million from with his feet and USD 21 million from endorsement.

 

Lionel Messi (27) – Total Earnings USD 41,3 million

The most phenomenal star player who scores the most goal. In 2012 alone, Messi scores a staggering number of 91 goals, breaking the 40 years old record made by Gerd Muller with 85 goals. In the same year, Messi wins the prestigious Fifa World Player of the Year for the fourth time. Barcelone awards him with updated contract over USD 20 million per year for the whole season up to 2018 season. Another news, Messi becomes the second soccer player who earned signature line from Adidas (after David Beckham, of course).
