World Cup Spirit Songs

This year the holiday has some added value with the world cup. As we know, world cup is among the most celebrated event in the world. The preparation has been underway months ahead, including the soundtrack selection.

They don’t just pick the soundtrack for world cup, Superkids. There are thugs of war about from time to time, like the one they had for Brazil world cup this year. Eventually, Pitbull’s “We are One”, sang with Jennifer Lopez is chosen, because the song is considered to be able to carry the spirit and euphoria of World cup throughout the world.

Some of the previous world cup songs are still played up until today. Take for example is “La Copa de la Vida (The Cup of Life)”, sung by Ricky Martin in 1998. Or perhaps you are familiar with this one, Superkids. “Waka-Waka” the soundtrack for 2010, sung by Shakira. So popular that almost everyone (usually in group) has made their version cover or clip and uploaded on Youtube.

More than spirit lifting tool for the biggest sport event in the world, the worldcup song is chosen to remind people of the heat of the event. The songs usually come up in many version of languages. Here are the world cup soundtrack songs across the years.
