Photography and Story Making at SDI Cikal Harapan BSD
Nearing the end of September (25/9), road show School Attack Superkids Indonesia with Canon visited SDI Cikal Harapan BSD. Teachers and students alike welcomed this very useful program for students. Here, students of grade 4,5 and 6 were given short workshop from Canon.
They gathered in the outdoor yard in front of the class. There were about 200 students seriously listening to the tips of taking a shoot properly with the Canon team. “Actually there are only four points a photographer must know. They are the best way of holding the camera, picture composition, illumination, and angle,” ungkap Yordan Aqsha, Customer Support Executive Canon, who is familiar as Kak Odan gave tips.
According to Kak Odan, “Good composition but handling the camera badly, the image will be blurred. Good light but wrong angle, same story,” students fired up a lot of questions and couldn’t wait to jump on the field.
After the theories of photography 101, students were divided into groups. Students of grade 4 could join the scrapbook competition at Masjid Cikal Harapan, while grade 5 and 6 took part in photo competition. They hunted for the best photos around the school.
The scrapbook competition where student of grade 4 took part in was seriously fun. After working on the scrapbook, each group was assigned to come up with a story out of their scrapbook. The result of the written story by these superkids were great jobs and very attractive in term of angle, inspiring and rich with ideas.
Each student was given a cool package from Superkids Indonesia after the competition. While results of the photo competition were printed on site using Pixma printer and Canon original photo paper. Judging from the enthusiasm, the fun and joy of students over this activity, there’s no way School Attack would stop here. Just wait for them at your school ok Superkids!
