School Attack during the Holy Month!

“How’s your fasting, Superkids? You guys are still strong, right? Or has anyone already cancelled their fasting now?” asked Miss Sesylia Rayi Pertiwi (Activation and Community Development) when she launched the School Attack event in SD Lazuardi Cordova, South Meruya, on Wednesday, 17th of July 2013. Although the weather was a bit hot, Superkids were still excited and cheerful when they joined all the sessions in the event.

The show started with an introduction to Superkids Indonesia, where kids learn about various things bilingually. Afterwards it continued with a screening of an animated video from Ultra Jaya Milk, followed by many fun games from Ceres. It was crowded and full of anticipation when the Superkids were about to be given door prizes from Ultra Jaya Milk. The prizes included goodie bags, milk boxes, ChaCha chocolates, and stationaries from Superkids Indonesia. “Don’t eat the sweets yet, alright! Let’s save them for Ta’Jil, until we break our fasting,” reminded Miss Sesyl. The students of course obliged.

It got even more exciting when Bryan Cipta Perdana from Adi Bintang started his storytelling. Bryan told the story of how good will can defeat bad will. Superkids became more challenged when they were asked to play the roles of good and bad in the story. Jafier (grade 4) was very enthusiastic in playing the hero, who was fighting against Khafi (grade 3), who played the role of an evil genie. The others Superkids were laughing when Shevano (grade 3) was chosen to become a tree in the story. Of course, Bryan succeeded in making the Superkids’ fasting more meaningful this month.

“Word Search Competition for Grade 1-6” became the closing show for this School Attack. Several kids admitted it was hard to do and decided not to do it at all. But it was different with Hanif (grade 5), and Bramantyo (grade 5), who easily did all the word search questions in just 5 minutes.

The students were happy, and the MCs and committees were also glad because they have given a useful programme in this Holy Month. So, just wait for the next School Attack in your school, alright!
