School Attack in St Bellarminus

On Tuesday morning, December 17, 2013, the students of St Bellarminus Elementary School at 58 Lombok Street, Menteng, Central Jakarta, welcomed the road show of Superkids Indonesia’s School Attack. Not only students in grade 4, 5 and 6, students in grade 1, 2, 3, also participate in this activity. Some of them took photography workshop, some took scrapbook competition.

The participants of photography workshop “Shoot and Print” consisted of 91 students of grade 4, 5 and 6. They gathered in school hall to listen to photographic tips by the Canon team. Basically, there are only four things that must be mastered by a photographer; the proper way of holding camera, image composition, lighting and taking angles.

“Having good composition, but incorrect in holding the camera, the result is definitely opaque and not clear. Having enough light, but incorrect angle, the result is just the same blurred,” said Marketing Executive Image Communication Products Division Canon, Asa Theodore Fanuel Prayogi, who is familiarly called as Kak Edo.

After the briefing, the students took pictures around the school hall. The results were directly printed using the Pixma printer and Canon photo paper. The west works were granted a special gift; a pair of Canon’s teddy bears. The winner was Group 8 (Sharon, Audi, Helen, Aurel, Jessy, Phoebe, Angel, Satryo, Stephen, Cyrus) and the runner up was Group 10 (Jasmine, Monica, Yuvella, Friska, Maria, Ajeng, Uma, Nila). Other participants also received door prize package eight travel bags from Ultra Milk and chocolate goodiebag from Cha-Cha as the two supporters of this activity.

Meanwhile, the scrapbook competition was followed by 99 students of grade 1, 2 and 3. The participants worked on a scrapbook in their respective classes. The best works for grade 1 was for Group 1 (Sydney, Tata, Jovan, Tracy, Angeline), class 2 for Group 1 (Kenna, Kohen, Bagas, Cyril), and class 3 for Group 4 (Oliver, Bella, Kathleen, Radit , Reynard). Each winner got parcels from Superkids Indonesia and Ultra Milk.

St Bellarminus Elementary School was the eighth school that School Attack team Superkids Indonesia attacked. The event was also the closing of School Attack 2013 road show which was held since April. “Seeing the enthusiasm of the students in this activity, of course the School Attack will not stop here. We’ve got a more powerful program to continue School Attack next year,” said Yaniar Resty, the Account Executive of Superkids Indonesia.
