The 11th School Attack at SD Kebon Jeruk 11

It’s like something that was meant to be, that’s the perfect expression when finding out the SDN Kebon Jerok 11, West Jakarta was selected for School Attack Superkids Indonesia with Canon. It’s the 11th school attack. Both are no 11, Yevittiana Lusya, Community Development & Activation Manager Superkids Indonesia made a joke during opening the School Attack that morning, (14/8).

It was so happen that the day was overlapping with Boy Scout Day, so after the ceremony of boy scout on the school yard, students in boy scout uniform were so eager for the next series of school attack program in auditorium of SD Kebon Jeruk 11.

There were about 200 students who took part in this School Attack event, from grade IV, V and VI. It’s fun and sensational. These kids got firsthand experience joining in the photography workshop of “Shoot and Print”. They were so serious listening to the tips of taking a shoot properly with the Canon team.

“Actually there are only four points a photographer must know. They are the best way of holding the camera, picture composition, illumination, and angle,” Kak Dadi, Social Media Canon Division, explained.

“Good composition but handling the camera badly, the image will be blurred. Good light but wrong angle, same story,” Yosephine RS, Canon Consumer System Product Division, who was familiar with name Kak Yose, added on.

After the briefing, students wasted no time and scattered around the chamber to hunt for good images. The results went straight to Pixma printer, and printed on Canon original photo paper. The best picture gained special goodiebag package from Canon. Two groups of 10 students were selected. Their works were then observed judged by Jury team from Canon and Superkids Indonesia, for the unique and angle picture, taken from out surrounding.

By the end of the program, each workshop participants was given a goodiebag from Superkids Indonesia and Canon, a piggy bank, milk and stationary. From the beginning of School attack (now is the 11th), students enthusiasm never seemed to decreased. So, just wait for the School Attack invading your school, ok Superkids!
