164 students of Bakti Mulya 400 Elementary School, Jakarta, eagerly joined in the Superkids Indonesia road show School Attack. The lively event took place at their school hall in Pondok Indah residential Jakarta, Wednesday, November 13, 2013. Tagging up with Canon School of Photography team, the theme for the event was “Shoot and Print”.

Participants were students of class 4A, 4B, 4C, 4D and 5A, 5B, 5C, 5D. In order to maximize the information, they were divided into 19 groups, each consisted of 7-10 students. The workshop talked about shooting technique with digital camera. It started out from the very basic as to the right position to hold the camera.

“Make sure to hold the camera firm and steady, to produce good quality pictures,“ Canon mentor advised. After how to hold the camera, participants were also taught how to shoot well. There are some points addressed in shooting, among them was the view point of angle. It could be high angle, low angle or eye level angle.

Canon showed their seriousness by bringing in the ultimate printer that has been proven to produce the best quality pictures, Pixma. This machine is able to print any pictures with brightest color in pocket or poster size on any kind of paper. Students were welcome to jump in the school area to try out the tips and tricks they just gain in the workshop. Their shooting were then printed on site with the Pixma machine. Everyone was able to see first hand how the printing process went on with their pictures. “They truly are sharp images,” Dimitri Salsabila, a student commenting in awe.
