The Unique Button Coaster

As  creative children, Superkids could do many things out of button. Not only to cover or decorate clothing, button also can be used as glass or plate coaster. The button coaster can be made by using buttons only, sew the button one by one to create a form we’d choose, or just glued them all. No sewing fuss, no risk of get needle hurt, nor messy yarn drama. The result? Very unique and useful. Ready to make it, Superkids?

Tools & Materials:
•    Black felt
•    A shaped cardboard. You can shape it first as you want (circle, triangle, square). You can also adjust the size you want (for glass coaster or plate coaster) The bigger the size, the more buttons you need.
•    Scissors
•    Buttons in any shape, colors, or size
•    Super glue

Let’s Make It!
1. Cut felt using the cardboard shape.  Glue them together.
2. Glue buttons onto the felt circle in a random pattern.

3. There you have it!

Tips:  Make sure the buttons are approximately the same thickness as this will keep your coaster surface stable for your drink glasses.

Attention!  These coasters should only be used for room temperature or cold drinks and food.  Hot food or drinks might melt the buttons.
