Market Stuff Cute Little Doll

No, we are not going to make some chewy and yummy snacks. This little red cenil can be made a cute doll, Superkids. Japarr, stands for komunitas Kartun Jajanan Pasar or Community of Market Snacks Cartoon, has been putting much effort preserving the market snacks as a country culinary heritage. One of them is by presenting cenil doll for kids to play with.  It’s an easy to task to make them!

 

You Need

Flannel pink, purple, black and white

Dacron (can be replaced with cotton)

Carton

Glue

Markers, pencil and ruler

 

Step #1

Sketch the cenil base drawing of heptagon on the cardboard. Add sleeves and legs. On separated section, make some eye lashes, eyes, eye brow, mouth and a rectangular for the skirt. The size is up to you.

 

Step #2

Thicken the sketch with the marker. Cut out.

 

Step #3

Make two duplicates of cenil drawing on flannel cloth, along with the pair of eyes, eye lashes, eye brows, skirt and mouth. Cut out.

 

Step #4

Place the eyes, mouth, eye lashes and eye brows onto the cenil face with glue.

 

Step #5

Place another flannel with the same shape on the back. Leave hole for the leg.

 

Step #6

Put in dacron. Keep putting it in until the doll is chubby bloated. When it’s done, use glue to tighten the leg hole.

 

Step #7

Cut the skirt into two pieces. Attach one on the front and one on the back, just under the sleeves.

 

Step #8

Add some white polka-dot pattern on the skirt. Use a hole punch.
