Pom Pom Ice Cream

We may already accustomed using pom pom to decorate the stationary, making cute dolls or accessories. Well, this one is a bit out of line, Superkids. Playing ice cream.

Prepare
Yarn
Sharp scissor
Light brown felt
Glue gun
Iron
Interfacing
Cardstock

Step #1
Roll the yarn around four fingers (leave out the thumb) about 80 times (see image). Not too tight. Make sure to leave some space between the fingers and the yarn to take if off.

Step #2
Cut off six inches yarn. Put on the table. Remove the yarn coil from the fingers, put around the middle area of the yarn.

Step #3
Tie up tight, the knot is at the core of the coil.

Step #4
Slip in the scissor into the coil. Cut off the edges of the yarn… voila! You have the pom pom ice cream.

Step #5
Now for the cone, cut off the cardstock in cone shape. Use scissor and glue to make the cone fit the ice cream. Cut off one side of the cone, spread it (unfold).

Step #6
Draw the pattern to the interfacing, cut off. Using the interfacing will make cone stronger, rigid and don’t whiter when played.

Step #7
Put the interfacing on the center area of two light brown felt fabric. Iron (read the instruction on the interfacing box) to get it stick on the felt.

Step #8
Cut the felt matching the interfacing pattern

Step #9
Draw the pattern you like (wavy, cross out, etc). Stitch the pattern with light brown thread. Skip the stitching part and you’ll get a cute little plain zone. It’d your call. Or, just use a marker for the pattern.

Step #10
Attach the pom pom to the cone. There you have it!
