Cute Ang Pao Imlek Purse
Imlek is identical with the tradition of sharing money in red envelopes. Once, before the envelope, people used to share coins tied on red strings. Before having this year’s angpao, there’s no harm in making a purse to store the ang paos we’re receiving. It’s simple and pretty.
What you need:
– Flannel
– Tape
– Yarn and needle
– Ruler
– Marker
– Scissor
Step1
Take measurement on the flannel, matching the size of purse we want.
Step2
Cut the flannel based on the measurement.
Step3
Fold into two and fold again at the top. Then cut every part to hook the tape
Step4
Make some decoration for the front part of the purse. It can be embroidery or any other ornament.
Step5
Tuck the tape into cut part for the hook. Then sew the left and side part of the purse. Voila, the cute purse to store your imlek angpao is done.
