Kids Creative Weekend

Sunday, May 4th 2013. Superkids Indonesia is having an event called Kids Creative Weekend at fX Entertainment Lifestyle, Jakarta. We will have talk show and for sure, paper craft competition, with tons of prizes. Cool isn’t it?

Curious of what are we going to do there? Ask your whole family there, and friends too. The registration is still open, anyway. Such as shame to miss this event. Now you are interested? Here’s one example of paper craft creation.

Paper flower creation

The main material is crafting paper, such as colorful paper, felt paper, and cardboard paper. Better to use vintage buttons and Mom’s studs to make your colorful paper flowers more beautiful. Voila, paper flower bouquet creations are done. You can put it in the table on a vas, attach it on your thank you card, or hang it on your bedroom’s wall.

Age: 6 or above

Elapsing time: around 15-30 minutes

Materials needed:

Color paper, cardboard paper , felt paper

Buttons

Colorful wire or floral wire

Scissors

How to Make:

Use scissor to cut the colorful paper, cardboard and felt paper, following variation of floral patterns. Take a button and put in the center. Its size will determine the size of the bouquet.

Cut a wire for the stem for each flower. Each flower requires about 20 cm or as you see fits.

Now, it’s the fun part. First, stick the wire to the center of the flower. Push in the flower to half of the wire. Next tuck the wire into one of the button holes. Push the button to next to the flower. After that bend the wire and stick again to another hole of the button, on to pierce through the flower. The wire must tie up the button neat

Twist the wire from the lower end to the flower. Make it as the stem. Redo the steps to have a bouquet.

Try it with many kind of buttons and flower petals.
