Pinata enliven almost every kids’ birthday party in Europe. It’s a bag filled with candies and small toys, which later beaten up by the guests using a cane until it exploded and everything came out. Pinata today often appeared in Indonesian kids’ party. Wanna learn making one for your special party?

Things to Prepare

Plain gift wrap

Colorful origami sheet

Candies

Rope

Stapler

Double tap cello tape

Pieces of newspaper.

Step #1

Make a big bag using the gift wrap. Use stapler to close the bottom and side parts.

Step #2

Fill in with candies, add some crumpled newspapers or pieces of colored sheet.

Step #3

Put on the rope on the upper part of the sack. Fold the edge of the bag to cover the rope. Use stapler to strengthen.

Step #4

Cut the origami paper in the shape of two hands, two legs, two eyes, mouth and hair. Attach the body parts to the pinata. Use double tape cello tape for best result.
