Late in last January, Parkway Hospitals Singapore via Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital launches the ‘Little Doctor’ app. This is the Indonesian version application, adapted from Doctor for a Day app. With this Little Doctor, we can play and take the role as a doctor and while doing that, learn, think and get stimulated in a fun game.
After downloading this app in handphone, we can compete the score. For us today, digital native material can be absorbed easier through games than books. That’s why the Little Doctor app exists to introduce Superkids to the healthy world since early.
Not only fun, this application is very useful, Superkids! We can recognize the basic principles of simple medical treatment; learning about medical procedures in the form of mini-games, learn about hygiene and hand washing techniques, learn the various techniques applied in the operating room like incision, injection and stitching, also learn about medical terminology and anatomy of the body’s functions.
There are some features in the Little Doctor application. Operating room, there are several optional surgical that we can choose. For example tumor surgery, cataract surgery and collarbone surgery. We will get to know the stages in the operation and perform it ourselves. It’s just like becoming a real surgeon when playing this feature. It can also train the fine motorist skills and learn about the operating room procedures.
There’s the Anatomy Memory feature. We can memorize and look for the body parts in the puzzle box while naming them. This feature will stimulate our minds, train visual memory and tech a lot about the various types of body parts.
And then the My Little Doctor feature. We can be Little Doctors and edit the profile the way we see fits. We are free to be creative and dress up like a doctor. It’s fun for sure, we can mix matching the accessories for doctor’s suits.
This app is available to download for free. Not only that, if we score high points in the app, we can trade it for cute toy doctors equipments. The app is available if we are Android or iPad users.
