iSwimband Protects from Drowning
Tiara Saidah Ali has been spending four months of swimming class at Puri Surya Jaya Surabaya. Yet she doesn’t go far with her skills. She is only willing to try shallow water. “It’s not that she can’t, she is justafraid. If only Tiara is a little bolder, she would have been a goodswimmer and can swim from end to end of the pool,” her trainer, Yanto Affandi convinces. Tiara only agrees to get into the two meters deep pool in one condition: she is allowed floats on both hands and buoy.
iSwimband might be a temporary solution for Tiara. This device isdesigned to keep people save in the water. It comes in two kinds,headband and wristband. If anything goes wrong, we don’t need to be panic and scream out. iSwimband will take hold and alarm mom-dad oranyone who is waiting by the pool, via handphone or tablet. How is it possible? The cute wireless is connected with Bluetooth, synchronized to our iOS device. If we spend too long underwater or fall into the pool, iSwimband will immediately send a caution.
The wristband version is designed for non swimmer or people who definitely can’t swim. If it gets wet, the device automatically pings mom-dad’s cellphone. So don’t be afraid if you are playing by the poolside and accidentally fall into the water, iSwimband will do the magic and mom-dad will come to rescue at once. The headband is designed for us who swim. It only active when we spend too long in the water.
iSwimband is manufactured by Aquatic Safety Concepts (ASC), companywith headquarter in Connecticut, US. The unit price is USD 99 or aboutRp 1.150.000, including app and two censors. Once the censors (onwristband/headband) is activated and app (on handphone) is turned on,the app will continue to monitor the status of the censors oniSwimband. This device can come in handy at the pool or beach, and has a radius of 30 m. If you want it to be louder, simply connect the device onto speakerds. It also equipped with irremovable orirreplaceable battery, which ASC claimed lasts for hundreds of hour.
With this device, Tiara will be more confident to swim in the deeperpool without fear of drowning. Thus mom-dad can relax reading books by the pool.
