Time for Underwater Selfie

“I was in vacation on the beach. There, i wanted to make self-portrait. But, i was afraid my camera was broken due to water or sand. So, i could not make any selfie. I could not record those moments and share photos on social media either,” said Jerry, 11 years old.

Oh, what a poor Jerry. He doesn’t follow the trend of new smartphone technology. Today, waterproofed smartphones with built-in or attached digital cameras are on shop around the world. The smartphones are both dust resistant and water proof. Greater 13.1 megapixels camera and wide angle lens with an F2.0 aperture may take sharper photos and better snaps in low light.

Some smartphones have the ability to take underwater video. The camera button is waterproof to take stills underwater and selective slices of video. They have the ability to plug in and unplug a waterproof headset underwater. However, seals remain in use for protecting the SIM card, microSD card and micro USB ports as before.

There are many kind of technological advancement in underwater smartphones, Superkids. Sony Xperia is dust resistant and fully waterproof for over 30 minutes and 1.50 meter deep. Samsung Galaxy S4 Active and Samsung Galaxy XCover 2 also safe and secure from dust or water for almost 30 minutes. HTC Butterfly can provide protection to the phone up to 3 minutes after any sudden water splash coming from less than 3 meters. Blu Tank 4.5 Wll0i can provide underwater safety for 30 minutes constantly.

So, Jerry can snap himself in the pool, in the ocean, and even smiling next to a friendly jellyfish. A waterproof smartphone is a nice idea for selfie lover. The pictures it shoots underwater are just as good as the regular and standard model.
