Singing Melodically with KBL
We heard this term a lot. Somehow, some people still think that this term is used as a kind response when one is in a condition that unable him/her to just honestly say. “The song is good, but your vocal is, well, not that good.”
The students of Karunia Bersama Lucky (KBL) have proven that not only anyone can sing. But more than that, anyone can sing inall vocal registers. Victoria Felice, a semifinalist of ‘Indonesia Got Talent 2010’, is a KBL student whose vocal range is more than four octaves high. She is a living proof that singing melodically is a mission-possible project.
How is it possible?
The gratitude goes to Chief Instructor Mr Lucky Tampilang, who has created a curriculum that blends classic and modern vocal coaching methods in smooth ways. Through Anatomic Physiological Approach which is also known as Muscle Coordination, students learn about muscle coordination and how to move the right muscles to produce the right voices. Being aware of this makes vocal practice easier.
“It really annoys me when I hear people say that singing is a difficult skill. It annoys me even more when people say that only those with a gift in melody can sing,” Lucky said in a complaining tone.
Lucky, who is also Agnes Monica’s latest vocal coach, awares that the main problem that most people faced when they want to sing beautifully, is muscle coordination.“Human organs that produce voice can’t be seen or touched. Most people just do not understand that these organs, which they can’t see nor touch, can be ‘trained’ to produce beautiful voices. It takes certain methods to reveal the secret of how muscles in vocal tract area coordinate themselves,” Lucky explained.
KBL is the first vocal course in Asia that enables its students to produce up to fine five-octave vocal range. The head quarter of KBL is located in Kelapa Gading. Just recently, KBL has launched its fourth branch in Intercon, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta.
“We give a 25% discount of the registration fee. Students enrolled to KBL may choose to join either one of these classes we offered; regular class or executive class,” added Lucky.
