In the global age today, education must have international concept. SDI Harapan Ibu has implemented bilingual class.
SD Islam Harapan Ibu, Jakarta has been educating for over 20 years. The school in Pondok Pinang area provides options for Superparents who come from many social class. In global age, education must be based on international concept. In 2006-2007, SDI Harapan Ibu has carried out program known as “Bilingual Class” that has characteristic, bilingual, active learning, small group, semi full day school.
The number of students per class is limited to 20 students with 2 teachers for each lesson. To stimulate Superkids’ critical thinking, fun and educating active learning approach is required, “Fun and Smart Learning.
They always try to keep Superkids under fun situation and learning condition. The maximum active learning concept is applied so that Superkids are use to think creative, learn to be independent and have high curiosity, teachers are always open with the latest teaching methods.
Basically, bilingual class applies competency based curriculum, enriched with international curriculum. The topics of the lesson are related to life skills development. The learning process is performed contextually, tightly related to daily life. The development of intellectual intelligence, emotional, social and spiritual. National text books are not the only source of lesson, Superkids also have additional text book with international standard, Math, Science and English.
The introductory language is English and Bahasa Indonesia (Bilingual). Superkids will have certificate from Cambridge for level starter, mover and flyer. The test is designed to measure whether or not Superkids’ Engish and the learning method meet the international standard.
They have guest teachers that are applied as monthly program. Presenting sources that match the field of expertise, both native and local or open coordination with other institution, or Superparents, Superkids will have empowerment lesson from the proper sources. Graduation of SD Bilingual class can continue to either national school plus or international schools, or even abroad.
