Avocado Guacamole Sauce

A typical Mexican sauce that is believed to have been a favorite of the Aztec dated back to the year of 1500s. The name wasn’t always guacamole, Superkids. It’s ‘ahuaca-mulli’, which means avocado mix or avocado sauce. People usually eat this sauce with corn crackers. Now, if you have never made guacamole, but then want a simple and quick recipe, you may want to try this simple guacamole recipe.

Ingredients

2 medium size ripe avocado

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp fine salt

1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper

How to make

  1. Cut the avocados lengthwise, remove the seeds.
  2. Don’t peel them. Slice the fruit into small dices with the tip of the knife. Use spoon to take them out.
  3. Sprinkle some salt, pepper and garlic on the dices. FYI, some recipes recommend fresh chopped garlic, but garlic powder fits better for guacamole sauce. Raw garlic is too bitter, it covers the taste of the avocado. Garlic powder is softer and well blended with the rest of ingredients.
  4. Manually use potato masher to mash the avocado, or simply press it with fork. The texture is up to our taste. Some people likes it really soft, but many also want it lesser.
  5. Done! You can add some other ingredients like lemon juice (one teaspoon only) and chopped tomato.

Enjoy the avocado.
