Kandank Jurank Doank (KJD), a must to visit for Superkids. What is KJD anyway?
Kandank Jurank Doank (KJD), was initiated in 1993 by the actor and artist Dik Doank. This place is a green school for children of nearby kampong. Dik Doank’s dream back then was Superkids who were unable to pay the school can learn at the real school: the nature. Because through the nature, Superkids are able to know who they are, their potentials and develop them.
Superkids can get in touch with the surrounding nature, from the waving trees, whispering wind and the mud in the paddy rice field. It also provide some understanding that God’s creation must be kept and well preserved.
Along the time, KJD expanded, become a very pleasant place for Superkids of any kind. Both rich and poor, old and young, nearby community and Superkids who visit, all are welcome in this comfortable place. The convenient atmosphere of KJD is supported by clean air, pollution free, very “green” and surrounded with paddy rice fields. Dik Doank the founder taught Superkids how convenient it is to have outdoor lesson, basking under the sun and united with the nature.
Sport facility in KJD is also well equipped. From soccer field, basketball court, wall climbing and even flying fox. Normally, activities are increase in weekend. There are also elementary schools that have outbound activities. It’s got a stage and playground. The stage can serve multi function. For singing, dancing or play.
Aside from learning and playground, you can also find KJD museum, where the story of Dik Doank from his childhood up until today. Most of it contents are art items like painting, photograph or even personal belongings with historical value. Hmm….cool! Come Superkids, let’s visit KJD to have a lesson and playing in the nature!
Direction to KJD
Pondok Indah, straight to Ciputat, take turn at UIN, enter Kampung Utan, straight pass by the mosque and turn left on Jalan Kompas. After that go straight until the intersection in the direction of Kelurahan Sawah or SMP PGRI 2. After the gas station, you will find the note Kandank Jurank Doank.
