The Most Critical First 1000 Days
No less than 927 Supermom participated in talk show “Shaping the Intelligence since Early” at Santika Premiere Dyandra Convention Medan. The head of Children and Teenager Growth, Health Department of Dr Soetomo Public Hospital, Dr Ahmad Suryawan SpA (K) made the first speech.
Ahmad Suryawan or better known as Dr Wawan talked about “Shaping Intelligence Behavior and To Behave Intelligence”. We don’t get such character in one night, Supermom. According to Dr Wawan, the process began when the baby was still in the womb. The first 1000 days starting from it’s in the womb until two years old was the critical times “That is when the brain in the most sensitive duration,” Dr Wawan explained.
The process will run best if the first six months, children get a lot of positive simulation to create the brain’s circuit board. This is later determines if the brain can function optimum to shape the smart behavior and behave smart. “It’s a once in a lifetime period, so make sure we put the child’s potential under close observation. The impact is permanent, as for you know,” Dr Wawan reminded.
Aside the seminar, hundreds of Supermoms also dropped by to Superkids Indonesia booth with their children. Superkids Indonesia team had prepared a handful of fun educative games for children. They had origami, Sita-Suta coloring pictures and face painting (although many only preferred to have it on hands and cheecks! :D). For children who enrolled as a member, they had doorprize a cool t-shirt designed by Superkids Indonesia. “The t-shirt is cute and the insurance benefit is also good for the kids,” Siet Nie, who signed her daughter Caroline Barbie Lim up, reasoned.
