1000 Supermoms and Superkids for The World Record

The joy and happiness were vividly appeared on 1000 pairs of Supermoms and Superkids’ faces at the“Aksi Sehat 5 Menit” #AS5M, brought up by Mama Lime Antibacteria Sunday morning, (14/9), at Plaza Selatan Senayan. The great event initially aimed foe MURI record of “Simultaneously Fruit Wash For The Most 1000 Pairs Of Moms And Kids”. By the end of the day, Jaya Suprana announced that instead of Muri, they beat the world record.

 

Campaign #AS5M prove Mama Lime’s commitment for Healthy Indonesian families with vegetables and fruit lover generation. The event was also filled with fruit and vegetables festival, yoga for all, cooking class and entertainment. There were also activities special for Superkids, in order to introduce vegetables and fruit as delicious and simple food. It’s expected Superkids would start to like vegetables and fruits.

 

It turns out, Indonesian people consumption over veggie and fruit is still very low, Superkids! It’s far below other Asian countries such as Japan and Singapore. Based on Research and Development of Agriculture Department (March 2013), our fruit consumption level per capita is only 34.55 kg/year,” said Nurfi Afriansyah, M.Sc. PH, Researcher of Applied Technology for Health and Clinial Epidemilogy Center, Health Research and Development Department, Ministry of Health.

 

Whilst FAO and WHO had recommended to consume fruit of 73 kg/year. WHO recommended global society to consume fruit and veggie at least 400 gram/day. It may varied as vegetables, fruit, juice, smoothie or others. Lack of fruit consumption may result in higher risk of certain condition that lead to death by various illness such as intestine cancer to coronary cardio and stroke.
