48 Hours, Quality Time for Family Weekend
Out of seven days in a week, only two days in the weekend exclusively become the children’s right to spend with mom and dad. So, optimize the 48 hours, tighten the family bound. How to do it? Do something fun together, doesn’t have to go out.
“Even at home we can have some fun games like cooking together or playing cards,” said Novita Angie the presenter in the light discussion of ‘Cool Weekend Selection’ campaign on the porch of Portico, Jakarta, last week.
Angie is a mother of two, Jeremy (8) and Jemima (7). She admitted to have a pretty tight schedule, Monday to Friday. Therefore her husband and kids always look forward for the weekend when they can do some fun together.
The urban sociologist Daisy Indira Yasmine or Debby reminded that kids can find their own group outside through friendship, if parents can’t stay at home even for the weekend. “You see, kids with full support from the family will have the maturity in social life. They will behave the ability to deal with daily issues and become a person with character.” Debby explained.
Cool Weekend Selection is a campaign initiated by the Wall’s Selection ice cream. Piknik Asik (@piknikasik), an independent community that often holds a picnic with friends from virtual world to spend the weeked, welcomed this breakthrough. The founder of Piknik Asik, Indira Bayurini claimed that he was happy to see the commons spirits between his community and the Cool Weekend Selection campaign.
“Never give up trying to create the quality moment with family for 48 hours in weekend,” the Senior Brand Manager Wall’s in Home PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk, Nuning Wahyuningsih added up.
