Elementary School Level Batik Competition on Batik Day

To celebrate the National Batik Day, Palbatu Kampoeng Batik Development Communication Forum (@BelajarMembatik) has thrown out a lot of activity, from September 28th to October 4th. Among those activities was batik competition at Elementary School level.

 

Kampoeng Batik Palbatu has been around since May 21st 2011, marked with the Muri record breakig of The Longest Painting the Road with Batik Pattern. Kampoeng Batik Palbatu provided the community with education about batik, particularly the kids, teenagers and the youth, through batik learning program. Here, Superkids learn firsthand about batik and the practice.

The Kampoeng Batik Palbatu community activity in celebrating National Batik Day was now at its second time. With the theme of “Loving Indonesia with Batik”, the creative activity aims to the youth of Jakarta and its surrounding was festive. The activity took place at Rumah Batik Palbatu @Kampoeng Batik Palbatu Jakarta.

“With this activity, Kampoeng Batik Palbatu wanted to provide a creative medium for batik to people of Jakarta, especially those living in Palbatu, Tebet. We expect that with this event, people that is dominated by children, teenagers and the youth of our nation will be more familiar with batik, love it and develop it into many creative products with economic values,” Budi Dwi Hariyanto, the initiator of Kampoeng Batik Palbatu made comment to Superkids Indonesia.

After the elementary school batik competition, Superkids were so happy and gained much experience. After the theory, they got to try it firsthand. Superkids didn’t need more than one hour to finish their creative work. Surely it became the most beautiful experience.
