Snow White the Musical Show
Snow White, Queen Villain, the prince and seven dwarfs visited Surabaya, complete with the red poison apple and the famous mirror-mirror-on-the-wall. They amused fans with Snow “White the Musical Show” in atrium Tunjungan Plaza (TP) 3.
Sure enough these legendary characters were like magnet for Superkids. On Thursday, December 18th 2014, dozens of kids gathered by the stage, 30 minutes before the show began. Among them was Natania Caya Dewi, the beautiful daughter of kebaya designer Elok Regina Fio. “I didn’t know Snow White is coming too. I saw the poster and decided to stop by,” said Natania, the student of first grade of St Clara Elemenetary School Surabaya.
The show was on for 40 minutes, with the appearance of Queen Villain in the castle tower. She, as we and millions of people in the world know, asked the magic mirror on her wall. “Mirror mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?” When the mirror replies, “Snow White!”, the queen became furious. In her wrath, she cast Snow White out of the castle and banished the step kid into the forest. Long story short, Snow White lived in a house with the seven dwarfs, fell unconscious after eating poisonous apple from Queen Villain, but revived after being kissed by a charming prince.
Since the concept was musical drama, the stars did more than just act. They also sang and danced on the stage. The songs were quite familiar for the audience. such as “White Christmas”, “All I Want for Christmas is You” and “Love You Like A Love Song”, with the lyric altered to match the plot. By the end of the show, artificial snow was started on the arena, making the little audience jumped in joy.
Promotion Manager TP, Dian Apriliana Dewi, revealed, three main characters of this show were brought straight from Australia. While the seven dwarfs, the rabbit and the bird that accompanied Snow White in the wood, were local talents. “As always, the show is free of charge. We presented it for everyone without any expenses. Unless they want to have a photo in the meet and greet session after the show,” said Dian.
To join meet and greet, the ticket is free by shop for Rp 500.000 or Rp 300.000 if using BCA credit card. Or you can purchase the ticket for Rp 150.000 or Rp 100.000 if using BCA credit card. The ticket exchange is at the Privilege counter on TP 3, UG floor and TP 2, 5th floor.
Want to watch? “Snow Queen the Musical Show” was on from December 17th, 2014 to January 4th, 2015. Tuesday-Wednesday at 18.00, Thursday-Sunday at 15.00 and 18.00.
