World Kids Movie Enliven the Film Fest
14 movies from 10 countries were specified for kids of 6-15 years old. The fest has been for the forth times. With Say No to Bullying as the theme, the fest is held from April 27-29 and May 4-6 in Blitz Megaplex, Grand Indonesia, Jakarta. Not only exploiting attendance with quality shows, KidsFfest also has workshop of subtitle making and movie dubbing for kids.
The fest was opened with five best of host masterpieces such as Arestasi by Abyan Utomo from Bogor, Langka Receh by Eka Susilawati from Purbalingga, and Bully X by Dito Tunjung of Tangerang. Those movies then became the winners in short movies category for kids of 12-15 years old. Whilst a movie by Lionel, directed by Mohammed Soudani from Swiss, was chosen as the closing one.
“Kids’ interest in making movies increases. We had invited two experts of documentary movie from German and Dutch for them. The winner will be chosen as the opening movie for the fifth KidsFfest, April 2013,” explained Nia Dinata, head of Kalyana Shira Foundation as the event organizer.
