BPOM Award for Frisian Flag Indonesia Archipelago Movement

Among programs by Frisian Flag Indonesia (FFI) that has been performed since 2013 is the Archipelago Movement. This year it is awarded by BPOM.

Earlier this 2015 FrieslandCampina, the parent company of FFI always support government program by committed to keep improving the awareness of Indonesian family to the fulfillment of balanced nutrition and providing the secured food quality for the development of healthy nation.

Among programs by Frisian Flag Indonesia (FFI) that has been performed since 2013 is the Archipelago Movement. This year it is awarded by BPOM. Not long ago, the award was handed over by the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, accompanied by Minister of Health Nila Djuwita F. Moeloek, for the concern of FFI for public education in secured food field.

“The appreciation that landed on us from BPOM Frisian Flag Indonesia is related to the concern on public education in the field of secured food. It further spurs us to continue developing this program in a broader scope. We will continue this program in 2015, so it can reach more elementary schools all over Indonesia,” said Refa Hayudi Griyanda, Brand Manager of Frisian Flag Indonesia.

The award is given during a series of events for BPOM 14th anniversary. The FFI Archipelago Movement program itself has managed to extend the reach to 750 primary schools in five major cities in Indonesia, namely Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Medan and Makassar. The objective is to provide information to children of school age.

Through this movement it is expected that elementary school students will have enough knowledge in choosing healthy snacks, variety of nutritious foods, improve the habit of drinking milk and more activities under the morning sun. The Movement also includes counseling on nutrition to students, outdoor sports activities and healthy canteen program.
