Hello, Samarinda!

 

The presence of kids corner Superkids Indonesia in the arena of Morinaga Platinum seminar was responded greatly by the invitees and their children. This was the place of kids can learn the art of paper folding (origami) and face painting to all Superkids. On the first session at 08.00-12.00 (Yes, it started already as the seminar registration began), the tykes learned to fold colorful papers into any kind of animal.

 

At Aston Hotel Samarinda in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Saturday June 15th 2013, kids corner was barely empty. The children came by escorted by their mothers, on their own, or in herd. One of the herd was so enthusiastic were Dennis, Chacha Natasya, Naila Suci Maulida, and Rizal Nur Affandi. There aren’t school mates, nor relatives or neighbor friends. They happen to have mothers who are long time close friends, makes the smart tykes gathered together to learn origami until the seminar closed. “Please repeat it,” never boring Naila asked.  

 

On the second session, 12.00-15.00,  the children were so obeyed to line up to get their face non permanently tattooed.  The face painting uses special face paint that is safe for skin. “Mine on the hand only, big blue butterfly,” requested Katherin Angelina, the second grader of Sunodia Elementary Samarinda.

 

Face painting session made its own crowd. “How much to get it done?” asked Lydia M. Loemakto, mother of two who brought along the eldest Aries Loekamto. “No payment at all, Mam, It’s all free,” replied Sesylia Rayi Pertiwi, Activation and Community Development Superkids Indonesia. “Both Origami and face painting are free,” she replied to confirm.

 

Menawhile, the mothers were interested to enlist their children to become the memberof Superkids Indonesia. The list was going up. Even when the Superkids Indonesia team was set to go home. “But I alreadymade the promise to my child Madina Yunda (6 years). She played here all along and asked me to be listed. She heard some benefits followed and also a goodie bag from Superkids Indonesia,” explained Lydia Martarina.
