Happy Colour Run and Splash 2013
Running is more than simply to burn calories and get shape. In Happy Colour Run and Splash at Waterboom Pantai Indah Kapuk, Western Jakarta, this sport activity was presented in different package. Every runner started off in clean white outfit. And -what do you know- they reached the finish line with colorful outfit.
There were about 1000 participants took part in this soooo cool event on Sunday, December 8th 2013. There was no age limit and special requirement to join in. It’s all about running and having fun.
Try to imagine, Superkids. Every 20 meters, all runners will get splashed with colorful dust from the standing by committee along the track. That’s why white outfit was a must for runners. So what if there are bad runners who try some daredevil stunt and run off in other than white? They didn’t. A special team had been assembled and ready to go after and catch the violator, and give them some bonus of extra colors.
But no one got mad, instead everyone would laugh to be punished with the colorful dust. “I like running, but this one is definitely different. We can shoot the color to anyone, anywhere, that’s fun!” claimed Yudisthira, an 11 years old kid from Depok.
Happy Colour Run and Splash was designed for fun only. Therefore, even the runner must cover 5 kilometers before the finish, there is no winner, medal and trophy. It’s so much fun and colorful. Along the route, we can see colorful dust attached on the runner’s t-shirt. They would crack jokes to each other while running, and occasionally throwing the remains of dust to competitors.
Showroom1ng as the host had prepared 100 kilograms non chemical coloring dust for the show. “It’s nothing serious, the objective is just having fun. So everyone can join in and paint each other,” said Iboy Imanzah from Showroom1ng.
