Indonesian Idol Junior Aired Saturday Afternoon
Starting October 4th, 2014, “Indonesian Idol Junior” will be with us for two hours. The show will be on MNCTV every Saturday afternoon at 05.30 PM to 07.30 PM. “We make the show into afternoon so little audiences can enjoy it. If it’s late, the parents will watch and not the kids,” Suska Dianingka, the Public Relations Manager of MNCTV.
It’s a hunt for talent kids of 5-13 years old which have the grand audition in Surabaya, Medan and Jakarta throughout July-August 2014. The opening episodes will be filled with audition process of off air Small Audition and Big Audition. In July 2014, Small Audition will be held in Makassar (July 5th), Yogyakarta (July 13th), Ambon (July 13th), Bandung (July 19th) and Banjarmasin (July 20th). While the Big Audition held on three cities, Surabaya (August 13-14), Medan (August 19-20) and Jakarta (August 30-31).
MNCTV team managed to capture some funny acts by the participants. The next stage will be the Elimination round, filtering the best contestants for the real audition in Jakarta.
The jury of “Indonesian Idol Junior” invited 163 Juniors to Jakarta for the three steps Elimination stage. Each stage will send half to one third of the participants. The number will keep shrinking until they have the best 15 to compete in the Top 15 arena.
Now, these top 15 Juniors are going to perform in the “Indonesian Idol Junior” first premium live show. Presenter Arie Untung was selected to host this program. The jury will be Titi DJ, Daniel Mananta, Regina and IrvNat. The winner will be decided by audience vote and jury’s judgment. “The point is, this show will be no less attractive than Indonesian Idol for adult,” Suska promised.
