So, How Cute is Your Cookies?

Amanda Safira Zahra has wanted to try making cute cookies with Minions character on them. When visiting Kitchen Magic court at Grand CitycMall, Surabaya, last week, this first grade student of Kertajaya Elementary School went straight to two round cookies to decorate. But Safira didn’t want to just get it done, Superkids. Assisted by her big brother Theo, she went online using her smartphone seeking images of Minions, to duplicate.

Quite different with Veronica Sheyna Keenandra. This girl loves playing with dolls and anything royalty. After paying IRD 40 K for Cookies Decoration Program, Ghina chose some cookies with shape of princess outfit to work on. “It’s like Sofia the First,” Veronica commented when showing her creation to Superkids Indonesia.

At Kitchen Magic, kids were invited to learn to know way around kitchen through many activities. In fact, it’s more than just about food. Here we also learn to make bracelet, scrapbook, card, up to key holder made of imported clay material, safe for kids. “The most recent one, we have photo frame decorating,” said Bing Bing Moesa, the owner of Kitchen Magic.

Can’t make up your mind? Dyandra Aulia Daanisy, student of Cikal School Surabaya went for Holiday Package Cooking Class Program for her holiday. With only IDR 225 K, she could take eight activities within the duration of two weeks. “I don’t have to do it all at once now, there are still tomorrows for me to come back,” Dyandra gave her reason.

Just what are the eight activities? Start with Cooking Class, Cookies Deco, Sticky Mosaic, Cute Bread, Beads Me, Carla Craft, Mic Mac up to Candy Floss. In Cooking Class, we learn to really make cakes using sugar, flour and other ingredients. The cake will then molded to take home. There were three optional recipes; butterfly cookies, smoked beef cheezy cake, or bruschetta cheese.

Cookies Deco is different, Superkids. The cake is already there and what we need to do is only decorating it with multicolor icing that is provided earlier. Fancy of bento? Wait for Cute Bread time. We get to mold plain bread with jam into cute little bakes. And what about Candy Floss? Now this one is guarantee to excite us with experience of making our own sweetness.

“The most favorite one was Cookies Deco. Perhaps because it’s the easiest, good result and it didn’t take hours to make some,” said Vania Falentina, one of the instructors.
