Kid Fashion Show by Joanne Andreas
For the fourth time, Joanne had a solo fashion show on Saturday, June 21 2014. As usual, all of this 13 years old girl creations are presented for little girls of 6-8 years old. With the theme “Horray.. It’s Summer!”, the show presented Joanne beautiful dresses with bright flower pattern.
“Being inspired by bright summer, my pattern for this time is all about flower,” said Joanne. The girly and casual look dominated by pink and little cute flowers. “It fits for mall time and afternoon occasion,” Joanne added on.
When she was 10 years old, Joanne successfully had her premiere fashion show entitled “Lollipop” in Surabaya Town Square (Sutos). And on with the second one entitled “Princess” in two places Ciputra World Surabaya (CWS) and Tunjungan Plaza (TP) Surabaya. Last 2003, the girl who is studying at seventh grade of Mawar Sharon Christian School, Surabaya, joined in the prestigious stage of Surabaya Fashion Parade (SFP). There her name was noted as the youngest designer who has the creation performed in SFP 2013 catwalk.
On the second floor of Lenmarc Mall, last weekend, Joanne’s dresses were brought up by five young model of Pison Model Management. Aime Augustin, Melia Augustin, Gabriella Stefani, Umi Aimen and Naqiya Saqifa swang their hips on stage smoothly. “We didn’t have special preparation for this because we already have lots of practice,” Naqiya, the fourth grade student of Muhammdiyah IV Elementary School, Surabaya, explained.
Still in the same place, Pison Art n Fashion Foundation also had “Up Coming Model for Kids” of kids under 10 years old. 42 participants raced for the main prize of scholarship in Pison modeling school for four months. The photographer Syafrizal Moe and designer Elizabeth Njo May Fen become the jury.
Two years ago, the twin models Aime and Melia also took leisure time to join a similar event with the one presented by Pison. Aime won the photo category and Melia won the fashion show. Today, both become model for Pison’s kids with bright career in fashion. “They are natural, i never pushed them. After this event, we go straight to Jakarta. Aime and Melia make it to the grand finalist of Next Top Model Bicycle 2014,” the proud mom Merry Augustin explained.
