The Right Course for Superkids

Everyone wants the best for their children. That is best education, best nutrition, best games, best treatment, best vacation and so on. Need evidence? Ever since a kid learns to walk, parents have already busy preparing things for the future. But, where to start? With seemingly unlimited choices to pick, which should go first?

“The first three to five years of a child’s life is the golden age. Parents’ priority is to observe the motorist skill,” Head Specialist of Phonics World Indonesia, Maria Ira explained in the smart parenting talk show concerning ‘Choosing the Right Course for Your Kids’, held by Superkids Indonesia on February 16th 2013. Speaking before dozens of Superparents at the Main Atrium Gandaria City Mall, Jakarta, Maria also underlined the importance of teaching language for children’s to get to know the world. She reminded how a baby immediately learned to communicate by using crying with the mother, the moment the baby came out.

Her most recommended language was English. Easy to tell the reason why, it’s an international language and widely spoken in global communication. “The sooner it’s learned, the easier to master it. It can start from the basic spelling, listening, reading and writing,” Maria went on. Eventually, with language in their arsenal, children’s horizon will be broader. They will become more critic and assertive in expressing interest. Some asks for robotic course, futsal, vocal school, ballet and others.

But what if Supermom is a career woman who can’t fully involve all day long? Editor-in-Chief ‘Working Mother Indonesia’, Aksara Sophiaan was in the idea that limited time is not an absolute barrier to prevent them from recognizing children’s character. Quality time by far is more important than the quantity. “Working mother doesn’t mean to neglect the kid. Let’s see it from the bright side. Kids will grow up more independent, more self esteem and have a role model to follow,“ said Rara, Aksara’s nickname.

‘Choosing the Right Course for Your Kids’ talk show also presented ballet performance from talented students of Smart & Happy Kids, magic show from Demian’s Academy and little singers of KBL intercon. Their performance stunned the audience. “The show’s objective is to guide Superparents to develop Superkids’ talent properly. We don’t want anyone to choose an unproper course,” said Ade Sri Purwaningsih, Advertising & Business Development Manager Superkids Indonesia.
