“La La La La… Elmo’s Song…”

After the success last year with Disney Princess, this year TP is presenting a character children equally like. From Wednesday, December 18th 2013, the Sesame Street group takes the young visitors to rejoice the coming of Christmas at atrium TP 3. Elmo the red hairy monster becomes an attractive for children and their parents alike. Not to mention Elmo brings his three beloved best friends, Cookie Monster and Ernie and Bert who fight all day long.

For 30 minutes, they perform on stage entertaining the audience in the show with the title “The Sesame Street Christmas Sing-A-Long”. The story goes, not long after Elmo appears and greet the audience with “Elmo’s Song”, Cookie Monster catches a scent of overcooked cookies on the back stage, while this cute monster is actually starving and expecting to have some delicious cookies. Frustrate with anger and sad, he decides to sing “Rub Your Tummy”, a familiar song for Sesame Street fans.

Will the Cookie Monster spend the Christmas in sorrow? Oh, surely not. Ernie and Bert come to comfort him, dancing around a two dimension Christmas tree. While stomping and skipping around (wow, now kids are starting to dance like them!), Bert, Ernie and Cookie Monster sing “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”. Many audience who know the song join in singing the sing, “Rocking around the Christmas tree.. Let the Christmas spirit ring, later we’ll have some pumpkin pie and we’ll do some caroling…”

A while later, Elmo comes back and together they sing “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.” Cookie Monster may not yet forget about his burnt cookies. But he knows that it shouldn’t wash away the merry of Christmas because he still has so many friends who care about him. He then spreads the joy of Christmas by sharing gifts with audiences. “Just by seeing Elmo has make us happy. We also have good story. Normally we only see this on DVD,” said Gisela Benedikta, a fifth grade student of St Vincentius Catholic Elementary School Surabaya.

Tuesday-Friday, “Sesame Street Live Show” is scheduled for two sessions at 03.00 PM and 06.00 PM. Special for weekend, there are three sessions at 01.00 PM, 03.00 PM and 06.00 PM. “It’s a free show, as our Christmas gift for the children,” said Brigiv Aditya, Media Relations TP. The sequences of the “Sweet Christmas Experiences” is on until January 5th  2014.
