Train Your Intelligence with Robot
Superkids, robot is a machine capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically. There are many kinds of robot. In science fiction, robots are often described as human-machine and able to replicate certain human movements and functions. Robot in the real world are made of many devices. You just assemble, program, and gave electric energy, then the robot can work as you want.
The robots took action in the Main Atrium of Gandaria City, Jakarta, on Friday, February 9th 2013. It was a part of the workshop organized by Superkids Indonesia and Smart & Happy Kids. The workshop invites kids to learn how to create a robot. “It was easy, not difficult. Creating robot is exciting,” said Dika, one of the workshop participants about ‘monorail’ robot he made.
How the robot benefit for kids? Sutrilastio, a mentor in Smart & Happy Kids, said it can train Superkid’s special intelligence; how to know geometrical space, to reconstruct robot, and how to build confidence. Having skill to create robot, superkids automatically won’t have problems of social inferiority.
In Smart & Happy Kids, you will have fun with the robots. To learn robotics, there are stages; Little Engineer I, Little Engineer II, Little Engginer III, Basic I, Basic II, Intemediate I, Advace I, Advance II, and Master. The mentors will teach and motivate you to face the challenges.
For international robotics competition, Indonesia kids often take championship. Indonesian kids won the second and third levels of Junior Regular Category in World Robot Olympiad 2009 in South Korea, November 6-8, 2010. For senior level, teams of three universities; ITB, ITTelkom, and Unikom (Bandung) dominated the smart robot competition ‘Trinity College Fire-Fighting Home Robot Contest (TCFFHRC)’ at Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut, United States. Indonesian robot team brought home eight titles.
“We have a plan, to make robotic competition for public and for kids who are studying at the Smart & Happy Kids,” said Sutrilastio.
