Manicute while Mom’s shopping
Ayin Rara Karina has joined her teenager sister for more than once when having facial treatment and mask at home. So, when going to Tunjungan Plasa (TP) 3, Surabaya, Saturday, Juni 28th 2014, she didn’t want to be left behind having short class of making strawberry mask for facial.
The girl who goes to second grade of SDN Rungkut Kidul II joined five other kids at atrium of TP 3. Hosted by Mom n Jo team, the kids worked their creation of making mask in “Beauty Treatment for Kids” program.
The ingredients are simple, Superkids. Two fresh strawberries, yogurt, powder milk and honey. “Mash gently until the strawberries are done. Add two spoons of yogurt, one spoon of milk and one spoon or honey, okay?” said Mom n Jo therapist in Spaholic costume who aided them.
When it’s done, mask is applied on their faces. “Cold,” said Ayin, commenting the strawberry mask that’s covering her sweet face. Once it dried, they wipe their face with wet warm towel to clean. Ayin claimed to feel her face become fresher. “It’s like washing face 10 times,” said Ayin, laughing.
Aside than mixing strawberry mask, another creative activity offered by Mom n Jo was creating lipbalm, sweet perfume, hand soap, and manicure and pedicure treatment. “It’s special for kids, so the mani-pedi becomes Manicute and Pedicute,” said Branch Manager of Mom n Jo Surabaya, Gia Muchida.
Among visitors of mall who were interested in trying this nail treatment was Sisyl Suwanto, a third grade student of SDK Santa Theresia Surabaya. While waiting her mom who was shopping nearby, she sat in relax, enjoy by herself with manicute. “Cool,” said Sisyl when looking at her nails after the treatment.
