That’s why, on last Sunday, which was Kartini Day, an event themed “National Campaign Against Violence Towards Kids and Women” was launched and introduced by Kak Seto and the Children Komnas, together with child and women activists. “This is a campaign to raise the awareness of the Indonesian society about the importance of protection from violence towards the ladies and the little children,” explained Ms. Linda Amalia Sari, the minister of Women and Children’s Protection Empowerment.

The event involved 42 komnas people, which in total sums up to 1000 participants, and was held early in the morning at 6.30 am WIB in the National Monument of Jakarta (Monas).
