Meet and Greet with My Little Pony
A pack of cute pony characters invaded Ciputra World Surabaya (CWS). Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie enlivened the year-end holiday for Superkids there. You do familiar with those names, don’t you? They belonged to sweet ponies we use to meet in the TV series “My Little Pony – Magical Ponyville”. CWS presented these four ponies five days a week to amuse little visitors.
On the first show, Saturday 20th December 2014, dozens of Superkids joined in dancing and singing with them in the Oval Atrium. The show was on for 15 minutes, from 14.00. Much like what we saw on TV, My Little Pony is a story about the beauty of friendship. Twilight Sparkle stumbled to a memory of her brother. “My brother is my best friend forever,” said this purple pony. Twilight Sparkle wanted to see him and celebrate the Christmas together. “We all are your new family now,” Applejack, the wise yellow pony tried to consulate her. The blue Raibowdash and Pinkie Pie agreed. They vowed to always be together as a family.
“We invited My Little Pony straight from Singapore to entertain the fans in Surabaya. They lively sang on the stage and children get to have photos with them afterwards,” Stephana Fevriera (Riera), Promotion Coordinator CWS, explained.
A hardcore fan of My Little Pony who was everything but to miss the chance to meet them, Kayla Antonia. The third year student of Sekolah Cikal Surabaya dashed towards the Oval Atrium from the entrance, afraid of missing the show. “She though it’s already started,” the granny, who followed her, explained. After watching the show, Kayla took photos with the four colorful long hared ponies. “My favorite is Rainbowdash. She is the cutest,” Kayla judging. After the show and the photos, Kayla couldn’t wait for the premier movie of My Little Pony, that is scheduled for 2016.
According to Riera, live show and meet and greet My Little Pony were scheduled for 20th, 21st, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th and 28 of December 2014. Three session for Saturday and Sunday at 14.00, 16.00 and 19.00. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, twice at 14.00 and 16.00. “With exception of the Christmas Day, the ponies perform three sessions, like in weekends,” said Riera.
To take photos with the ponies, Superkids only need to pay Rp 100.000 by showing the shopping bill of minimum Rp 500.000 from any CWS tenant, valid for maximum two bills combined. Without the bills, Superkids still can have photos for Rp 150.000. “The photo is done on the same day, with a cute little pony frame as the bonus,” Riera went on.
