Little Heroes Mission on Independence Day

When most kids in Indonesia only admire academic values, they will lose sight of how to show empathy or helping one another. But Indonesian’ kids are the future generation. The hope of this nation lies on their shoulder. So it’s important to create intelligence generation with character by implanting various values and positive attitude.

 

Pepsodent as a leading brand of toothpaste that has been growing with Indonesian families continue commitment by helping parents in preparing their kids to become quality future generations. The pepsodent’s sustainable commitment is realized in Misi Pahlawan Cilik Pepsodent” (Pepsodent’s Little Heroes Mission). It begins with discussion in Hotel Mulia (1/7), with Dr. Ratna Megawangi, M.Sc (founder of Indonesian Heritage Foundation), Vera Itabiliana Hadiwidjojo, Psi (kids psychologist) and Drg Ratu Mirah Afifah, M.DSc (Professional Relationship Manager Oral Care PT Unilever Indonesia, Tbk). The show was hosted by Shahnaz Haque.

 

Quoted the result of a recent study from Harvard University in 2014 that says approximately 80 percent kids of school age put academic achievement above others. The rest, which is only 20 percent, think that to be there for others is also a good thing.

 

Pepsodent’s Little Heroes Mission began in early July until the upcoming August 17. Parents can send pictures of their kids doing anything worthy for them as well as for others, such as helping people. The photos are sent to Facebook and Twitter, TanyaPepsodent. Each participant is expected to follow the whole 17 provided mission. 17 is to commemorate the independence of Republic of Indonesia.
