Omni Hospital Presents “I am Little Doctor”

 

Omni Hospital Alam Sutera throws an education program “Aku Doketer Cilik” as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), intended for kids of 4-12 years old. This educative program invites Superkids to become a one day doctor. The program has been on since June 15th and is followed by over 500 participants.

 

The director/head of Omni Hospital Alam Sutera, dr. Sebta Lucia, MM, explains. In the chambers provided by Omni Hospital, kids will be invited for role plays of becoming doctors with equipment very similar to those of real doctor.

 

The sequence of “Aku Dokter Cilik” presents 5 stages. The first act commonly taken in Nursery Room, taking body temperature, changing diapers and weighing.

 

The next activity is in Operating Theatre Room, where Superkids will learn how to properly wash their hand, anatomy, and getting familiar with operating tools. The next activity is performed in the third chamber, Accident & Emergency room where they learn about physical examination and bandage training.

 

Next up, the little doctors are taken into dentist room to learn about structure of teeth and how to perform tooth brushing properly. For the last one, participants are taken into Pharmacy Room, to prepare medicine and inserting medicine into capsule.

 

“After having the “Doctor” sensation, participants will earn certificate and a ceremony to mark their graduation of this program,” Dr. Senta explains

 

This activity, she says, is performed every Monday-Saturday, with two session each day. “Each session takes 2 hours duration, from 10.00-12.00 WIB, and 16.00-18.00 WIB. During fasting month, the second session moves to 14.00-16.00 WIB,” she went on.

 

“This whole activities are free of charge. It’s just to be a participants one must register first because the quota is limited,” said Senta. Well, interested, Superkids?
