Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Open House
Imagine, how lively it could be if over ten evens burst at once in one place. On Saturday, October 26 2013, students of Sekolah Harapan Bangsa (SHB) in Modern Hill, Pondok Cabe, South Tangerang, enjoyed the excitement of open house since the morning.
The students were free to either be in one race or just watch the art performance by their fellow SHB students. It was nonstop show and the stage was never left unoccupied with students showing what they can do best. Students’ band, singing Mandarin and English songs, aikido, balet, flute, angklung, even Saman dance performance and Dinding Bak Dinding, Indonesian traditional dances.
“The objective is to encourage students to always try to do the best, either in academic world or non academic,” Virra Rahayu, Admission & Promotion Head SHB explained. Open house was also a way for SHB to maintain the good relation both students to students and school to other schools. For the Superparents who were presence, SHB had a talk show about “Food Combining & Parenting” with Mayapada Hospital.
The event with theme of “Smart Day and Scholarship Test 2013” was also occurred at the same time with scholarship test for 6th grade students who were planning to continue the study to Junior High or Cambridge Secondary, and from Junior year to Senior year. FYI, the test was not only for SHB students, but also opened for public, free of charge.
Superkids Indonesia didn’t want to be left behind in enlivening the open house SBH. Tagging up with Canon, Superkids Indonesia had the photography workshop for 5th and 6th grade students. The students were given a good technique of taking pictures and how to produce good quality pictures. Now, one event that not less attractive was a competition of SHB students and non SHB students. Despite the majority of participants were from SHB, the winner may be from any school. Here is the list of winners.
