Pak Raden Is Back For A Story Telling at Monas

Last week, Coca-Cola and Ogilvy & Mather threw the “Another Story with Pak Raden” on Silang Tenggara, Monumen Nasional (Monas) as part of Sharing Spirit Campaign. With Pak Raden, Coca Cola and Ogilvy & Mather did some surprise to the famous Unyil puppet.

It appeared that Pak Raden’s fans, who had grown up, still remember him and his work. This program was included in the Eid Ul Fitr moment. This event was also become a medium to facilitate the silaturrahmi of Indonesian families, that Superparents are obligated to stand by Superkids in listening the life role model stories.

The elderly 82 years old man whose birth name was Suyadi, was once well known for his pictured fairy tales. Being familiar with Indonesian families through the glass screen, the character who appeared as an old man with thick moustache in the Si Unyil had shared so many lessons about positive values of life. Unfortunately these past nearly 20 years, the figure was forgotten in the heart of Indonesian’s family. Kids were overwhelmed by un proper entertainments on TV, creating their own world with no interaction to their parents. It goes the same way with parents who got too busy with works and gadget.

Pak Raden invited every family to take advantage of the Lebaran’s atmosphere for parents to once again tell stories for their children hopely they will grow up with good moral. Story telling becomes a medium to open up and speak from the heart.

“Indonesia needs many positive models. Silaturrahmi as part of the culture that roots to the community should be enough to put us all together, especially our own family. Parents telling stories to their kids, it’s an effective way of tightening silaturahmi,” Esther Tanudjaja, Sr. IMC Manager Coca-Cola Indonesia, laid out.

Most of the Superkids on the arena seriously listened to what Pak Raden had to say, either with puppet and drawing. “I am so happy and enjoy to be able to do story telling again today. I feel like being transported back in time to 20 years ago,” said Pak Raden. The wrinkles on his face showed the smile of joy and emotion when Superkids laugh in amusement.

Katryna Mojica, CEO Ogilvy & Mather Indonesia as one of the initiator of the event expected that the program with Pak Raden today can inspire Indonesian families. “for Indonesian family to feel the urge once again to bring the essence of togetherness back alive, and carving the silaturrami with neighbor, associate and others,” said Katryna.
