Book Frenzy at Jakarta Book Fiesta
Ikatan Penerbit Indonesia (Ikapi) comes back with the Jakarta Book Fiesta (JBF), October 1-6 2013. Dozens of publishers participated in the event that took place in FX Sudirman, Pintu Satu Senayan, Jakarta. JBF 2013 went on a whole day, from 10.00 AM to 09.00 PM.
Other than selling kids, teenagers and grown ups’ book, we also could find some historical book. Those book may be foreign published or domestic. The price is very ranged, matching the types of book provided. The lowest book is Rp 5000, the most expensive one is Rp 200.000.
Erlangga was among the most visited by young visitors. They came out with a lot of kids’ storybook, puzzle and pop up. “The stories are interesting and popular too, said Meysa (7), pointing at her new “Sleeping beauty” and “Three Little Pigs”.
Other than book exhibition, JBF 2013 also enlivened with business contact, meet with author and public figure, seminar, talk show, games and other events presented in edutainment concept. It is expected by presenting successful author can encourage other future author to find their own way and cast away their hesitation to start writing. So, what are you waiting for, Superkids.
