Pokemon Celebrated Imlek in Ciputra World

Welcoming the Year of Wooden Goat, the cute monster Pokemon spent time in Surabaya.

Occurrences of Pikachu, a character in the TV cartoon series “Pokemon”, became a magnet for hundreds of fans in Ciputra World Surabaya (CWS). The yellow Japanese monster rat was at presence in the oval atrium, grand floor CWS, in giant size. It’s almost as tall as an 11 year old boy.

Surely kids did not want to miss a chance of having photos with the plump Pikachu. “When else? Now that it’s here,” said Fiter Yudhishthira Septian, a 10 years old boy of who came to the meet and greet session on Tuesday, February 17th, 2015.

The “Pokemon Fun Fest” series have actually started since January 30th, 2015. But Pikachu figure didn’t show up until February 13th, 2015 to February 22, 2015 the closing event coming. The monsters that have the stun gun greeted fans two times a day. The first one at 16.00, the next at 19.00.

Before Pikachu had got on stage, visitors still could really have fun with other monsters of “Pokemon” series. Like Oshawott the beaver that’s armed with scalhop and Fennekin the wide-eared twigs chewer. Many interesting activities were brought up with those guys.

From Pikachu safari dice, Let’s Pikachu Pokemon battle, Oshawott spirit charger berry, cave rolling Klink, Fennekin the collectors clubs and Stunfisk fishing. According to CWS Promotion Coordinator, Stephana Fevriera, Pokemon gang was very entertaining for children who celebrate the 2566 Chinese New Year break in Surabaya. “Not to mention, the highly anticipated new movie series,” Riera convinced.

In addition to the fact it’s a favorit  TV series, Pokemon -that was originally a video game released by Nintendo- did regularly release wide screen movies. Every year, the movies were played in July in many countries. The premiere version was released in 2001 with tittle “Pokemon: Myuutsuu no Gyakushuu” (Mewtwo Strikes Back). Now the 14 series is ready to hit the cinema this July 2015. The tittle is “Pokemon: Yubiwa no Choumajin Hoopa” (The Archjinni of the Rings: Hoopa).
