The Festive of Boy Scout Day in Jakarta
The admonition of the 53rd Boy Scout Day for this year was held at the same time all over Indonesia. Every school, from elementary had the occasion with many events. Ceremony, games and even camping. Boy Scout National Quarter issued letter No. 0520-00-A, that contained many kinds of activities such as community service like blood donor and Boy Scout Care for Lebaran.
This year theme was “Empowering the Character Development of the Youth through Accreditation Front Liner.
National Quarter advised in the letter for each Boy Scout squad both domestic and abroad, to have the admonition with regard to their condition and demand.
In Jakarta, elementary schools took part in it. Following elementary schools in sub district Kebon Jeruk, the branch quarter of Kebon Jeruk on August 13th had performed “Lomba Permainan Besar Siaga”. They had crazy ball game, ball dribbling race, hula-hoop, poisonous river game and treasure hunting race.
“The admonition of Boy Scout Day in Kebon Jerok has been an annual agenda. This year, we had 38 elementary schools from all over Kebon Jerok with 76 barung (groups). 38 barung for Boy Scout and 38 barung for girl scout. Each barung consisted of 6 students. The program started from 8 in the morning until noon. Murodikarta, Wakabinawasa of West Jakarta Quarter who was also Supervisor of Kebon Jerok Elementary School, explained to Superkids Indonesia.
And the winner of boy scout group : First Place SDN Duri Kepa 06, Second Place was SDN Sukabumi Selatan 05, Third Place was SDN Kelapa Dua 01, and the Runner Up was Jeruk 06. Mean while for the girl scout: the First Place was SDN Sukabumi Utara 04, Second Place was SDN Kebon Jeruk 01, Third Place was SDN Kebon Jeruk 18 and the Runner Up was SDN Sukabumi Selatan 06.
In the morning, on August 14th, the governor of of DKI Jakarta who was also the elected President Joko Widodo delivered his speech before thousands of boy scout students in the Anniversary of Boy Scout on Monumen Nasional Square, Jakarta. Jokowi’s was there as the Head of Boy Scout Advisor Chamber of DKI. The ceremony was attended by students of elementary – high schools of entire DKI.
