Sunday Art Market, March 16-17
If only this was a regular weekly activity, sure every family could have more quality weekends. Sunday Art Market (SAM) never failed to present complete joys for everyone in the family; dad, mom, kids both little children and adolescence. During the next March 16-17, 2013, SAM is ready rock the Lippo Mall Kemang, Kemang Village, Jakarta at 10.00 AM to 09.00 PM.
“This activity was scheduled for regular three monthly in weekend. The site could be a mall, public space or housing area. Artists, communities and UKM engaged in the event are different every time,” Sakya Anindhita Wiradisuria, COO and Co-Founder PT Sabda Drupadi Kreasindo, the host of the event, explained.
The objective was to present an art picnic, where audience was able to enjoy various kinds of entertainment as well as educating art-culture experiences. For the upcoming March 16-17 event, 20 artists and UKM are ready to show their best of the best pieces of art at their booth. It will be paintings, statues, toys, musical instruments, clothing, accessories, jewelry, china, all the way to art made of recycled junk.
Commemorating Earth Day, SAM brought forward the theme of ‘Green EARTh’ and presented a number of art workshops, such as the Kite Painting Workshop (March 16th) and Paper Craft (March 17th). Another interesting event will be family talk show about children education, health and psychology, and also financial planning for family with experts.
Surely Superkids Indonesia doesn’t want to miss the opportunity to enliven this art party. Saturday (16/3) on 11.00 AM to 03.00 PM, Superkids Indonesia opens a booth on SAM arena and invites merchants to perform. Among the participants are talented young singers from Karunia Bersama Lucky (KBL) Intercon, young dancers from United Dance Work (UDW), and magicians from Demian’s Magic Academy (DMA). “We are very supportive for any creative event with educational value for kids and families like this,” said Ade Sri Purwaningsih, Advertising and Business Development Manager of Superkids Indonesia.
SAM was an event that brought together a handful of artists, creative and art communities and entrepreneurs. With family oriented view, the event was picnic in nature (shopping picnic, educative picnic, entertainment picnic, culinary picnic) for the whole family.
