Sharing with Bunda Romi in Bali
Aston Grand Ballroom, Denpasar filled with Supermom dressing in all red, Sunday November 24th, 2013. Red was the chosen dress code for the talk show of “Shaping the Kids’ Intelligence since Early”. With husband and kids on their sides, Supermoms lined up for the registration while the kids were rounded up to Superkids Indonesia booth. Here, the kids were welcome to play while learning to arrange puzzle, coloring pictures folding paper and face painting.
Talking about tips and tricks to “Proper Parenting to Create Smart Happy Kids”, Dr Rose Mini MPsi invited Supermom to share the common problems in educating the little ones. A Superdad named Dedy didn’t want to miss the chance. “How to separate firm parenting and cruel parenting?” he asked. Bunda Romi -Rose Mini’s friendly name- provided a very detailed answer. She said that communicate with kids should not in hard way, because it will give them an image of brute parents. “If we can convey the message in normal tone and the kids would understand, why yelling and frightening them?” Bunda Romi expressed her concern.
She urged Superparent to be smart in assessing the situation, and decide when to be soft or hard. For example, Superparent don’t have to rise tone with the kids scatter the meal. They surely understand if parents just talk in calm way to wash the spilled. Now, if a kid push his brother or sister down, that’s when the voice should rise. Kids must learn that violence can harm others.
Meanwhile, Dr Ahmad Suryawan SpA(K) who should host the first session didn’t make it to the site. That didn’t drag the enthusiasm of participants down. Especially because Morinaga Platinum presented two other speakers in replacement. They are dr Eddy Fadlyana SpA(K), from Pediatric Department of Perjan Hasan Sadikin Hospital, Medical Faculty of Universitas Padjadjaran Bandung, and Dr I GAN Sugitha Adnyana SpA, from Growth and Development – Pediatric Sosial Bag/SMF (Staf Medis Fungsional) Children Health Care, Medical Faculty of Universitas Udayana, RSUP Sanglah, Bali. Both speakers talked about “Shaping Kids with Intelligence Behavior and Behave Intelligence”.
